Transparenz- und Prüfnachweis

KI-Transparenz

python stormtape-audioseal-verifier.py \
  --input stormtape-short.mp4 \
  --policy ai-transparency-policy.json \
  --detector detector_base.pth \
  --ffmpeg ffmpeg \
  --start-seconds 0 \
  --duration-seconds 30

Transparency and verification record

AI transparency

Stormtape labels synthetic voice announcements for people and machines. Weather observations, official-source records, OPERA radar data and StreamBeats music are not described as AI-generated by that label.

Publication rule: synthetic speech may be published only when it is visibly labelled “AI voice”, the relevant native platform setting is applied, and the AudioSeal mark is generated fail-closed and detected in the final output. If any step fails, voice remains off.

Four transparency layers

1. Visible

The live stream and Short show “AI voice” while an announcement is active; descriptions explain local synthetic generation.

2. Platform-native

The platform’s AI/synthetic-content control is applied per release package. Disclosure is not hidden in hashtags.

3. AudioSeal

Synthetic speech may be published only after it has received the prepared machine-readable AudioSeal mark with the 16-bit identifier 0x5354 (“ST”) and that mark has been detected successfully in the final output.

4. Provenance

The policy, model hashes, final media hash, detector score and verification time are bound in machine-readable evidence. Exported files also receive Content Credentials once a validated signing chain is available.

Public technical information

Platform controls

Verify locally – no upload

The public verifier uploads neither the media file nor a model and performs no downloads. It uses a locally installed AudioSeal runtime, the official detector checkpoint verified against the SHA-256 value above, and FFmpeg.

The JSON result binds the media, policy, detector and verifier hashes, detector score, payload match and UTC verification time. A positive result applies only to the inspected window of the exact hashed file.

Why C2PA alone does not solve the live path

Content Credentials are a valuable additional provenance layer for completed files. The current live path uses RTMP, while C2PA 2.4 live video is specified for ISO-BMFF/CMAF segments and does not support MPEG transport streams. Stormtape therefore uses a signal-level AudioSeal mark for live speech rather than relying solely on removable container metadata.

Legal context

This page documents technical and editorial transparency measures; it is not a binding legal case-by-case clearance. Stormtape applies the more conservative technical path because the exact role as deployer only or also provider of a voice system adapted under its own name depends on the specific implementation.
